Ramadan kareem :D

Its a lil late to say Ramadan Kareem i guess?
The last 10 days of it are about too end and i finally have some time on hand to write here :)
Still in cairo though i wish id be in germany but well life doesnt always go as we wish. So im waiting that allah will make it possible for us 3 to go germany to visit my family. I miss them so much it hurts, but it wont be too long inshallah ya rab!!!

The last weeks i tryd my best to use ramadan as much as possible. Last year i couldnt fast so this year i was able to fast alhamdulillah. It went pretty well for the first 20 days. the last few days i felt really thirsty the whole day but i take it as a test from allah to make me experience the feeling of the poor even more in the last 10 days. May allah help those ppl who have no water and no food!

Now that my baby boy doesnt demand to be carryd all the time anymore i decided to start to learn cooking. Well i can cook and am not bad in it but i wanna learn to cook more Recipes. It goes pretty well and my husband likes the stuff i cook ( well at least he says so :) I wish i had my family here to cook for them too. I just love to cook for ppl who r close to me.

Now its 4 or 5 days until eid and i still dont know what ill do. My mother in law isnt in egypt so we probably wont go to her house. But staying here wont be interesting too. Maybe we should go to the azhar park, i really love that place and havent been there for ages. I would love to spend eid with my mum, that would surely give her a good impression about islam. Well maybe next year, inshallah.
What r u doing on eid? leave a comment if u do anything special on eid, i need some ideas :)

This mosque has a great architecture. Ive never seen anything like that be4. Its in 6th october/cairo

cleaning cleaning cleaning

First: Ramadan Kareem
I hope all of u are having a great ramadan and the fasting isnt 2 hard on u.
I was fastong the first 2 days until i recognized my milk supply got less and i got sick :(
But inshallah i will fast some more days though i dont think i will fast all the left days as i need days where i dont fast so i will have enough milk 4 Rayyan :)

In 4 days my mother is coming and so iam busy all the time cleaning 4 her arrival.
Iam so nervous and i want everything to be perfect.
So i spend hours on cleaning the walls in the bathroom, cleaning the cooking place, the fridge and actually the whole house :D
2morrow ill clean under the couch :P
I have a list what i still have 2 do be4 my mum arrives and it includes:
- cleaning the walls and doors ( from the blood of the mosquitos my husband hunted :D)
- cleaning the guest room
- washing the bed sheets
- cleaning the windows
- cleaning the floors

So i still got a lot 2 do and it isnt so easy 2 do all that while i feel soo bad from a cold.
I get a cold 3- 5 times a year and when i get it than really bad.
Not sleeping more than 5 hours a night doesnt help either i guess.
But when my mum is here inshallah i can take some rest when she takes Rayyan :)
Im soo glad shes coming and especially in Ramadan.
I pray that Allah will open her heart and let her become a muslim that would so great.
But ill see how she reacts on Ramadan in a muslim country :)

So its 1.40am here and i have 2 finish cleaning the kitchen be4 i will go 2 get a little sleep.
Have a nice Ramadan and may Allah protect u all :D

Fasting

Hows the fasting going with u so far?

4 me its going pretty well, except that i have headache 2day bcz the weather turned warm again. Hot at daytime n freezing cold at night isnt a good combination 4 me.
Anyway i dont miss the food over the day but i do miss the water as a lot.
Its here 20 min left til maghrib and am not feeling as if i didnt eat all day.
I also dont eat so much 4 iftar or sahour, mostly anything with milk like milkshakes or oats with milk n raisins.
Today i finally got the watermelon i wanted the last days, so inshallah ill eat this 4 2days iftar 2 :)

I read an artice about "Virtues of fasting in summer’s heat" in the Saudi gazette ( my fav online news) and i liked this little story which was inthe article: Al-Hajjaj was on a journey between Makkah and Madina. He pulled out his dinner and invited a bedouin to eat with him, and the bedouin said: “I have been invited by One who is better than you and I have accepted the invitation.” He asked: “And who is this?” The man replied: “Allah invited me to fast, and I fasted"
Al-Hajjaj asked: “On this very hot day?” The man replied: “Yes. I am fasting it in anticipation of a much hotter day.” Al-Hajjaj said: “So, eat today and fast tomorrow.”

The man replied: “Only if you can guarantee that I will live until tomorrow.” Al-Hajjaj said: “This isn’t in my hands.” The man said: “How can you ask me to do something now when there is something of the future that isn’t in your hands?”
