Remedys for sinusitis?

So the weather changes and for sure right away i get really sick :(
I got sinusitis which means i feel like i spend the night hitting my head against the wall!
My whole body hurts as if i was a old woman and the worst is the headache and the fever :S
I just hope the meds gonna work soon as its really hard to take care of my son like this

I try to mix up meds with home remedys againts sinusitis but i dont think any of it works til now.

lemon in water
inhaling damp ( over a bowl with hot water and than towel over ur head)
apple cidar in water

I have no idea what else could help?

Im already taking some meds that used to work good before but doesnt seem to make a difference this time.
I know a med that would work good against this, but i cant get it here in egypt :(

My diet suffers too while am sick
Yesterday i was too tired to cock something healthy so i ended up eating pasta with creamy sauce and soem cake.
Today though im not able to eat much at all. So all i had today were 2 small apple and lots of coffee ( ok just 3 cups til now, but thwe day didnt finish till now)
That might make up for the cake yesterday..

1 week 3 days later

Im frustrated!
Somehow the diet doesnt work as well as the last time..
I used to loose weighth pretty easy n fast but this time the numbers on the scale hardly change
Maybe im too unpatient as its been only 1 week n 3 days..
But i weight myseöf every day and get dissappointed if nothing changes. I think i should change it and weight myself just once a week again.

Otherwise its going ok. I get used to not eating sweets n fatty foods..
I do my work outs daily n drink that disgusting apple cidar every morning..

Strawberry Smoothie with yogurt n honey

I finally managed to do some low intensity cardio for 20 min :)

So since i did my cardio i made myself a strawberry smoothie
I love it and i cant believ for how long i havent had strawberrys :)

Image from https://www.facebook.com/WeightLossCoachEgypt

Check that Page out, its pretty interesting

Just tired..

I have no clue whats going on with me today..
Im just soo tired and wish i could sleep for a few hours
Last night i went to sleep at 2am and i got up at 10 am, so i definetly had enough sleep

Stil i have not enough energy to do my cardio work out today :(
I started several times but laways gave up cause i feel  i dotn have enough power to pull through..
At least i managed 10 min of abs n core work out

Otherwise its going pretty well
I dont know how much i lost in the first week as my scale is acting weird.
It gives me a certain weight but if i try again for 2 times it gives me a different (lower)weight. Maybe i should change the battery..
I left out any kind of Soda from my diet as well as sugar.
Only downfall was light night as i had a soft ice with chocolate n caramel sauce :)

The apple vinegar i drink every morning works pretty well.
My skin looks better than before and normally im way less tired when i drink it ( except today)
It tastes disgutsing but i just drink it in 1 sip n ignore the taste
I mix 2 teaspoon of apple cidar vinegar with 1/2 glass of warm water n drink it first thing in the morning, 30 min before breakfast. If i eat anything unhealthy i try to drink it after that too.
Or i drink another sip like that in the evening..

Im trying to work out 30 min a day..
Including strength training every day for at least 10 min

So there are 10.5 weeks left and i cantwait to get some results !

Weight loss project - again

Day 4
of Diet try number 1 million

Seriously i could just hit myself for always giving up and than having to start again..

I still didnt reach my goal weight and i have even gained some weight around ramadan/Eid.
Thats what i get for eating whatever i like and not working out enough..
I gained some weigth so i still have to loose quite some weight to reach my goal!
I d love to be around 54 kg while im 170cm
At least i lost all the pregnancy weight +5 kg
So its all about shaping up now
I really wanna fit into my size 36 skinny jeans ( not that i would wear them out of the house..)

Today is day 4 of my work out n diet and its going ok.
My whole body is sore from working out though..
I have done excercise before but now i started to do more strength training
Never knew you wasit could ache from work out.
Today didnt went as well as the last days as i felt really tired, so i did just easy cardio ( 25 min)
and some core,abs strength training.
I ususally use any cardio work out programm/Video from jillian michaels.
Shes just amazing and i love her work outs and her spirit.

I would love to go running outdoors but really the ppl here would think iam whether insane or running from any kind of danger. Ppl here dont go out running for a work out!
Only soldiers do that i guess, as u can see them do that around military property.
But well for a woman, especially if she wears hijab and no skin tight clothes, its not gonna work.
Any other questions why woman here are mostly pretty overweight when they get older?
Simply cause they get no chances to work out!

Foodwise its getting easier.
The beginning is always tough as im craving the foods i ate while not doing a diet.
I als love to eat at night when i finally get to sit down and relax, and when the baby finally sleeps.
Best time to enjoy some food..
Well i avoid that as much as possible normally..
I also gotta cut back on my coffe consume :( Thats the part i probably hate the most as i loveeee coffee!
Nescafe with sugar n milk is what keeps me going. So from 5 cups ill reduce it to 2 cups n ill try that artificial sweetener that they sell here. Sadly i cant get Stevia but well Aspartam/fruit sugar will have to do for now!

Im drinking about 2-2.5 litre of tea ( mint tea, green tea, herbal tea´s) without sugar every day.
And i drink, first thing in the morning, warm water with 2 teaspoon apple cidar vinegar :S
Really disgusting stuff but its supposed to boost the metabolism and give you a better skin..Lets see how that goes..

When i really crave something sweet i turn to my beloved sugar-free mentos chewing gum.
I have to hide it from my son though as he would eat all of them in 1 day.

Well ill update the blog in a few weeks about if all of that worked to reach my dream body :)
Plan is to loose 5 kg til christmas which is in about 3 months from now..

Doctors in Egypt?

Doctors in egypt are a topic which is really hard to handle.
How do you find a good one that you can trust and who is qualified?
I dont really have the need to go to a doctor except when i cant stand a problem anymore..

So the kinds of doctors i went to are:
Dentist
gynecologist ( pregnancy and birth)
Pediatricians ( my son, not me :)

Thanks to my MIL i found a great Gynecologist pretty fast.
the first one i went to was a woman cause i would have prefered to have a female one.
But she wasnt really qualified, she didnt ask about family history ( illnesses) or anything else that could be important. i didnt feel very safe with her so i changed afgter 3 visits.
I found one ( a male one) who is highly qualified and who did a great job. He does travel to europe and other countrys to study and update his knowledge which is something i appreciate.Of course he cant keep up with the doctors you would see in germany, simply bcz in germany the doctor will tell you everything, from the size of the baby to the health,..
Here they dont talk to you, all they tell u is " the baby is fine"..
Well i want to know a bit more as i dont depend on the doctors, i have enough knowledge to know what size is acceptable at which time of the pregnancy etc..
Still im satisfied with his work and would always recommand him.

The dentist i went to is a friend of my husband and also a very good one.
Didnt have much problems and at leats he knew how to use anaesthesia. I didnt had much pain and he worked on the right teeth. i guess thats all i could ask for.

Well the pediatricion is a whole another chapter..
Finding a good one is neatly impossible!
Some of them will do anythign to make your child recover fast, which isnt a good thing.
rayyan had a bad flu and since he our first child we were pretty worried. The pediatricion we went to gave an injection and told us it will be fine. He got better pretty fast but in the end we found out there was cortisol in the injection..We did ask about this and the doctor assured us theres nothing like that.
Cortisol is very bad for the body and espceially for kids, its not needed for cases like a flu or cold!
Never went to that doctor again.

Another one didnt recognize that rayyan had an ear infection. Thats another one we wont go again..

next one want to give him Antibiotics for everything, cold, flu, fever..hey take antibiotics helps for everything..Well not really
Antibiotics are against bacteria..Flu and cold come from virus, so why do you need antibiotic?

The one we go to know is also a huge fan of antibiotics, but othe rthan that hes ok. Not perfect, not even good but what should we do?
We just cant seem to find a good one anywhere..we went to 4 different areas of cairo and all of them were not good enough!

The one we go to at the moment is supposed to be in our area 2 times a week. Sadly he doesnt show up most of the time. And if he does than you have to wait more than 1 hour.
1 hour in a hopstital with a tantrum throwing toddler..lovly..
He also takes 50 Le for every visit which is really high just for a check up.
Other doctors take about 20Le..seems like he knows that hes better than a lot of other pediatricion in egypt..

That wouldnt be a problem if we moved to germany. At least the doctors there are better and more trustable. In addition the insurance pays for everything.
i know that we paid more than 400$ when i had my baby, and if i had him in germany, not only would the surrounding be better, but we wouldnt need to pay anything.
I would also have had a nurse to help me with a lot of stuff thati had to figure out myself in egypt ( not that easy i can tell u..)

Update Dentist

I wrote before on this Blog that i had very bad tooth ache and i had to get 2 tooth filled.

Well its finally done, alhamdulillah
5 visits to the dentist later..

The first time he made just 1 tooth. He made a hole in it and removed all the bad parts.
Than he put a filling. But not the permanent one, so id have to come back to get the permament filling.

The next time he cleaned the other tooth.
He also put a non permament filling in it and cleaned the other one again.

Another visit..
Since we waited too long he had to clean them again and than..remove the nerves :S
It didnt hurt, thanks to the injections i got.
But again no permanent filling!!

Now 3 days ago i finally got the permanent filling.
Its egypt..so hedidntasked mewhich filling i want like a dentist in germany would.
He used ceramic filling.
The teeth are in the back so it wouldnt have been a problem to use another filling i guess.
Ceramic fillings are rather expensive, at least in germany( up to 200 euro)

I paid about 500 LE for all of this which is probably a good price.
I mean he did a great job and i didnt have pain (not much at least)
There r dentists in egypt that take way less than this, but the quality is accordingly pretty bad.

I know of 2 cases that went very bad..
One woman went to her dentist and after this she had extrem pain for a week.
Yes some pain is normal..but not this much.
The dentist obviously did something wrong and didnt prescribe the right pain meds!

Another one i know of went to a dentist who treated the wrong tooth.
And also broke out a crown..
So the tooth that had hurt her was still there and she now had a hole/filling in a tooth that was healthy.
Pain stayed and she had to come back.
Doesnt sound very appealing!!

Am soo glad this is over..
It was not as bad as i would have imagined it. And when i remember the days i could only stand the pain by taking pain meds every day..Good thats over!
it started some time before my mum came to visit in june and my treatment started in the end of july.
So for quite a while i had to stand a lot of pain on a regulr basis :(
Now i have no pain at all and my teeth are fine. there are still some things i have to get done. But ill take a break from dentist visits for now!

If any of oyou need a good dentist in cairo let me know and ill give you his number.
It is a man so dont bother if you just wanna be treated by a woman.
I dont think there are good female dentist in cairo, but let me know if you find one..

Comfort Food

I try to avoid carb rich foods as well as foods that contain a lot of artifical ingredients ( diet soda, candys,..) most of the time.
But today i simply need some comfort food!
The stress we have with ours Son is pretty annoying and some comfort food is all we need today :D

I made cheesecake yesterday but since it was a small one and we gave half of it to my brother in law and my baby ate also his share we didnt have much of it.
Tasty cheesecake recipe

So today i made pasta bolognaise.
Im not much into Meat dishes, but Pasta bolognaise is an exception for that.
Its the one thing i always missed while eating a vegetarian diet for 13 years.
At first i just bought it from the restaurant, but i decided to give it a try and make Pasta bologanise at home.
Its actually not that hard and just takes some time.
But its worth it and really tasty :)
Heres the recipe if you wanna try to make pasta bolognaise at home yourself.
I just leftthe mushroom this time cause we didnt have any and i made a bigger amount as ill be given some to my brother in law.
Enjoy :)

Tantrum disasters

Rayyan is now 2 years n 3 months old and since a few days he makes our life much harder.
He started to throw tantrums around the clock, like every 1 hours he freaks out at least once.
Really great when he starts crying, screaming, biting, kicking,..
He even lay down on the ground to bang his head against the floor. My MIL told me all her sons used to do that so i guess that an egyptian trade? Never heard of european kids doing that.
Even at night theres no peace in this house cause if he wakes up he starts screaming as if someone hit him or worse. Its pretty scary when he does that cause i do feel sorry for him, it must be terrifying to suddenly feel like this angry, sad, or whatever it is.
The only way to make him stop is to hug him and be quiet, if even say 1 word he will cry again :(

I really wish i had some support like my mother or aunts here to take him from time to time so i can breathe a bit.
Though im not sure if they could handle him when he throws another tantrum.
So any of you who have gone through this phase with their kids, any suggestions, tips or advices?
I could use any advice possible :)
If this goes on until his 3rd brithsday ill probably have white hair at that time from all the stress :S

BonBons parfume

I love these little parfums from BonBons
They are my first choice for traveling and going out.
They are small enough o fit in every bag, no matter how small.
And they smell pretty good.
There are 2 more available in addition to the 3 above.
I normally choose one called milkshake, smelling like vanilla, but they didnt have it at the store.
So i went for the one on the right, Melody, smells good too.
The other 2 smell ok but are not so much my taste.
Those parfums are imported from italy but still coast only 21Le (3.5$) which i guess thats ok.

They are not my favs of all time but my favs for taking some parfum with me when i go out.
My fav of all time are gucci n pur poisen. I love oriental parfumes too but they dont exactly have right names here in egypt. They just mix parfumes in any way you tell them.

What parfumes do you like to use?

The Twilight Saga

I gotta admit am a fan of twilight
The books are actually not that bad and pretty entertaining and the movies are ok too.

Im not so found of the vamps in this saga though.
Im more found of the wolves
The vampires are kinda strange..i mean sparkling in the sun..Really?

I have read all books and ive seen the movies in TV ( i dont go to the cinema normally)
Im pretty interested in the last movie of the Saga, but than again i dont think it will be great!
Just too much Vamp stuff and too less about the wolves.

I guess ill watch it anyway, online of course since i dont have anyone who would watch it in cinemas with me. And in any way am not a fan of cinema´s.
The character i do like are actually jake n paul from wolves aswell as leah and seth clearwater.

From the vamps i like jasper and carlisle.
Edward isnt a character i like too much as i think hes way to controlinng over Bella.
Bella is such a boring character..has not much to offer except her obidience and randomness..
I also like Billy Black and charlie ( bellas dad) as tehy are interesting characters in my opinion.
Renee (Bellas mom )on the other site is pretty boring

Any of you who like twilight?

Iphone 3 gs problems..

When my mum came to visit she brought me an iphone 3gs.
I bought that one on ebay, so its an used item but i dont mind.
The problem i have now is that i was jailbreak and i tried to reset the iphone
Now when i turn it on  i only get the apple logo but it wont turn on.

I hate this situation cause i have the iphone at home and cantuse it..total waste of money!
My husband tried to fix the problem, but didnt succeed in it till now.
I hope he gonna manage to fix it soon so i can finally use the iphone to read books andwell use it as a phone. My other mobile ( samsung corby) doesnt work well since some time. Mostly i cant the one im calling..so im in need of the iphone

Has anyone an idea how to fix the iphone problem?

if you have an iphone, let me know your favourtie apps :)
i didnt had much time to use the iphone till now so i had only a few apps like whatsapp, viber, some games, quran and the talking cat,dog n parrot. my son sure loves the talking cat and i wont download that again. As soon as he sees the cat he takes the iphone and keeps it with him. having conversations with his best friend the talking cat :D
It actually just repeats what u say in a strange voice, but rayyan loves it..

Facebook - marriage market?

I havent been ableto use theInternet yesterday, so today after sleeping as much as possible i went online to see what has happend in the time i was not around.
I do like Facebook as its a great way to getto knew other people with same interests and beliefs.
People around me dont speak much english and are overall pretty boring..
So i love my FB account.
I did change settings so males cant contact me and i only talk to males of the family.

Its pretty obvious im not searching for a relationship or friendship to males on FB.
How?
My status: Married to *****
Written in my profile :

Dear males, dont try 2 add me or write me
Im not interested ..
Just fear Allah!

So plzz stoo sending me friends request

and 4 the case u dont know me but wanna add me (females), at least contact me in any way be4 u add me..

Sure that doesnt keep them from sending me friendsrequests and from poking me. I ignore that simply as i know those guys r idiots.
If u add a random person, dont u read the profile first?
I guess guys dont!

So 2day someone tried to contact me, nothing special.
But, well..kinda different and very stupid.

He wrote a pist in a group ( foreignersd in egypt) mentioning my name, to make sure id read it.

Ahmed Shenawy wrote: **** inbox me. Something important and in very respectfull way

Me: excuse me, i dont know u and have no interest to talk 2 males that i dont know..plz delete this post!
Ahmed Shenawy :in very respectful **** and u will see and if I say something wrong it's easy to block me
Ahmed Shenawy : I wanted to talk to you but I couldn't because of your privarcy setting
Me: should show u that i dont wannatalk to u!
Ahmed Shenawy :and of course I know that you are very respectful woman
Me: what u want? im gonna block u soon if u going on with chatting!
Ahmed Shenawy :please,in very respectful way(((
Ahmed Shenawy :why r u going to do that?
did I say anything melicious or wrong??((((
just give me the chance to talk to you((((

Ahmed Shenawy it's very respectful request and you will see that yourself
but it should not be in public

Me: :i told u, tell me what u want? im not interested inprivate chat with males!

Ahmed Shenawy it's embarrasing
I want to marry you officially on official papers and in Al Azhar but we need to know more about each other right?

Ahmed Shenawy so I'm not talking about something melicious as u thought(((

Me: You are such an idiot! did u read my profile at all..iam married and i have a son! Ill report u for harrasing now..bye

So he blocked me after my last post :D

I will report him anyway! Such a rude behaviour..
Even if i wasnt married, i still dont need random strangers asking me to marry them bcz they like my pic..ts ts ts.. im not that desperate, never was!
FB really needs a function : only viewable for Females / Males
+ choose exceptions
That would be suchmuch better!

Fatigue - Tiredness

These days I’m always tired.

I wouldn’t be able to get through the day without coffee. That’s why I actually increased my coffee intake from 2 cups a day to 4-5 cups of coffee a day.

There are several things that could be the reason and I’m not sure which one it is.

- iron deficit; that would mean I don’t have enough iron in my blood. I had that before and treated it by eating more iron rich foods and by including meat in my diet ( well hamburger but meat is meat..)

- Missing vitamins - that could be as I haven’t been eating healthy enough. But since 1.5 weeks I eat much more vegetables again and I doubt I would still be tired if that was the reason. In any way I have bought Centrum vitamins today, just in case. Pretty expensive with more than 1 Le per tablet!

- Any other reasons - Could be anything I guess, but I’m healthy otherwise so a disease should have more than 1 syndrome I guess.

I’ll go with taking vitamins and trying to increase my iron intake for 1 month and than I’ll see if it gets any better. Right now I sleep about 8-9 hours a night and after half of the day I wanna crawl back to bed. Not that I do anything that would make me this tired. Just the usual housework (cooking, cleaning, washing,..) and taking care of my son. It never made me this tired before so that’s not the reason.

It’s 9 pm here and I’m by now ready for bed. Tired - cant concentrate very well - and just powerless.

I just hope this passes soon, its just so annoying when you have no energy and always wanna sleep..

Coffee Addict

I love Coffee
Any kind of Coffee, except black one maybe
I do love Espresso, Cappucchino, Milk Coffee, Latte, Latte Macchiato, Iced Mocha, ..
and the list goes on

I love to go to any Coffee Shop and try out any Coffee drink i havet tried yet. Its something i really enjoy, even though no body understands it here :D

Its just something i enjoy, like they enjoy their shisha..
Aday without coffe is a bad day..ok it can be a good day but ill miss my coffee
When we go to my in laws i make sure to have coffee mix with me as the chance of finsing milk there is very slim. So coffe mix saves me, just add hot water and you are ready to go :)
Great invention!

I drink 2-4 cups of coffee with milk a day
Since i have an Espresso maker at home, i do drink espresso too sometimes, or use the Espresso to make Cappucchino.
My mum drink up to 2 litre of black coffee without sugar or milk every day.
I guess she needs it to stay active.. i wouldnt be able to drink coffee without any milk, maybe without sugar but never without milk

I´ve made ice Coffee before but it needed a lot of sugar so i don´t do that anymore.
I tried a lot of coffee brands that are sold in the supermarkets around me.
Like Irish coffee powder, or coffee  mocha..Irish coffee tastes great and it has no alcohol ;)

In germany they sell way more different coffee types and types of cappucchino.
There i used to buy Cappucchino with the taste of Milka chocolate..so yummy
I need to get that again when i go to germany.

i never go to starbucks as they support israel..and well i dont wanna support israel..

I love costa cafe, they have a great iced mocha  Costa on Fb
they have the best chocolate muffins and a great cheesecake too.

Cilantro is ok too though they have smaller sizes and the price isnt that good ( my husband loves cilantro) cilantro on Fb

Gloria jeans i really nice but its a bit far from me. I go there whenever im in nasr city Gloria jeans on Fb

The Coffee shop company has great drinks too, like the Batista..very very tasty..and a lot of calories ( much more than iced mocha would have..) and more expensive than Costa cafe  the coffee shop company on Fb

Aunt Annes is not a coffee shop but they sell milkshake with moca taste..I love it
Its called dutch shake i think.. In any way it has more calories than you can imagine. so just consume it once in a while..once a years sounds good :D

So i admit im a Coffeholic :)
whos with me?

Bad luck or destiny?

I guess when something bad happens not only 1 thing will go wrong.
At leastthat mostly the case for me and my family.

If something bad happens other things add to it..
Today my husband injured his finger very badly, he nearly cut it off :S
It happend at work but since there is no isurance in egypt we wont get anything for this.
And well its his own factory..
Alhamdulillah the doctor was able to fix it for now and we will see how this goes on.
70% chance that he wont be able to completly bend this finger again :(

In addition to this it seems my son gets sick too.
Im not sure whats happening but he has a temperature. He still feels good and has as much energy as always so it doesnt seem to be something too bad.
In any way we will have to go to his doctor tomorrow to check whats wrong.

thats all happening just after i finished my tooth problems a few days ago..
I guess it never really runs smoothly for us.
But after all every pain we endure will give us hasanat ( good deeds) so im gonna think of that..

i dont believe in bad luck really..
I think its all a reaction to something we did or simply destiny ( written by allah)
If we do something bad that hurt others, we might just get it back by a suffering in this world or we will get punished in the next one. i surely prefer to suffer here for some time and have a happiness for eternity in the next one..

Water problems in egypt

A few water companys got closed due to them selling filtered tap water. So now theres no mineral water for sale in most super markets. Its pretty annoying to always carry a bottle with tap water around. Not to mention that tap water in egypt tastes disgusting.. I started to boil the water we drink which makes it taste at least somewhat better. I miss the german tap water that tastes just like mineral water..

How to make Espresso at home

I just love espresso and ive been searching for a´n affordable and good quality espresso machine ever since i came to egypt. Ingermany the quality is great but the price is pretty high for automatic machines. Sending a small manual espresso machine will coast more than the machine itself..
So when i went to carrefour last night and by luck discovered that they have espresso machines now i was more than happy. They didnt have them before and normally i dont even go to the section anymore were the coffe cups etc. are stored.
Anyhow i passed by and found ´manual espresso machines from Pedrini imported from Italy.
They are available for 2 or 6 cups and in several colors like orange, green, violetand black.
I decided to go for the one for 6 cups as 2 cups wouldnt be enough when my father in law or brother in law are here. And since im not a fan of the other coloursi went for the black one.
Price 130Le about 21.5 $
Its about the same price i would pay for it on germany which is great as most of the time items like this are way more expensive here in cairo.

I couldnt find good espresso powder in carrefour. They do sell espresso powder from their own brand for 11Le per 250 gr. Its cheap and well thats how it tastes like. not good quality and bad taste!
Il have to get some better espresso powder tonight. Alhamdulillah theres a shop near us that sells espresso powder from lavazza. ill see how that goes.

I was a bit unsure how to use the machine as there was no descirption and i never used a manual espresso machine before.
But its actually not soo hard.

1. Fill the down part 3/4 with cold water

2. Put the filter and fill it with espresso powder. When full push the powder gently down with not too much force.

3. Close the espresso machine by putting the down and the upper part back together.

4. Put the espresso machine on the fire. Heat has to be medium. Not too high not too low.

5. Wait until steam comes out of the top. I measured the time and it took about 5 min til i turned the fire off. This was for a 6 cups espresso machine though so i dont know how long a 1,2 or 3 cups machine takes.

6. Leave for another 2 minutes before filling the espresso into the cups.

7. Fill into cups, Add sugar. Enjoy :)

Couldnt think of a proper Blog title

Anyway Here are some of my fav items

I should..

be working right now
But i dont want to :S
I still have 5 articles to finish until tomorrow and all ive done til now is the research.
Its not a very interesting topic so i keep telling myself ill do it later.
Well ill have to do it anyhow, its for my fav client so i better do it well.

So since i dont wanna work and i dont wanna do housework either im just playing around.
Playing games with my Son
Making useless pictures
Creating collages
drinking lots of coffee

Not a very productive day. Tomorrow will be better inshallah
i dont really feel like cooking either so i just made some fast pasta with creamy sauce and we still have shorba (meat soup) from yesterday. Ill eat some chicken panee and eventually make some veggys. I just have no clue what kinda veggys i should do. We had curry yesterday and i could eat it every day, but my husband wouldnt accept that.
Id make a soup but its too hot for that..so whats left?
I cant make oven veggys as im missing oregano and without that it doesnt taste good at all.
I guess it will be veggys in tomato sauce, easy and fast..perfect fopr a lazy day

Eid Shopping

Eid is over :(

Ii didnt spend Eid visiting Relatives as i wanted to.
But i got to go shopping with my sister in law at Carrefour Maadi.
Its a huge shopping complex with a lot of different shops, cafes, restaurants and of course Carrefour.

The first time we went onthe first day of Eid and i bought the shoes in the pic below for 140Le.
Not really cheap for shoes like that but i have just 1 pair of sandals so i was in need of another pair. The next time we went with my other sister in law and her two girls, last night.
While it was really nice the first, yesterday t was way too crowded.

Carrefour Maadi is always crowded and i prefer to go other places as i hate crowds. But i have to admit the shops there are not bad. Still i prefer mall of Arab or Dandy Mall in 6th of october ( its an area of cairo).

I bought the bag in the picture yesterday and im very happy i found it.
My bags are falling apart and look really bad. So this bag will do, even its pretty small.
I can only fit my mobile, purse, camera and iphone and nothing else.

Alhamdulillah i dont need to carry bottles and other stuff for my Son anymore. I remember that when he was a baby we would carry a lot of stuff when we went out with him.

Now the shoes dont fit to the dress and the baag but its not ment as an outfit. Its just the things i purhcased inthe last week.
After more than 1 month of no shopping i guess i deserved it :D
well maybe not but i needed the bad and shoes.. And the dress, well it was Eid after all!
I ll keep it for the next engagement/Dinner party ill go to inshallah.

Any opinions?

Eid Outfit

My Eid Outfit
I know the pic quality sucks :S
My son kept playing in front of me and throing his toys at me :D
You can see the back of his head on the right site of the pic anyhow

Im thinking to wear a jacket over this dress instead of the black carina that i wear to cover my arms.
I kinda feel naked when i wear only carin´s with dresses or shirts :S
But i fear that if i wear a jacket it will destroy the image of the dress and anyhow ill just be visitng family so i can use this time to show off :D

Cleaning marathon

I just finished cleaning the whole flat..more or less
Its not like i planned doing this but when i laid down to sleep i heard some noises that freaked me out, so i got up again to find what it was.
It sounded like someone was in our flat..in the end i didnt find what it was..

Buti couldnt sleep anymore so i started cleaning and didnt stop till now :)
Husband n baby r sound asleep so i can enjoy the clean house for a while before someone starts throwing custard on the floors or dropping juice..
Its really nice to have some time completly alone :)

Anyway alone time is over as i really need to sleep.
Im just waiting my tea to cool down so i can drink it before im off to bed.

I bought my Eid dress today for  atotal of 155Le
about 25 $
not too expensive i guess as most dresses i liked were about 450 Le (74 $) which is simply too much at the moment. After all ill need a new bag and shoes soon.

I might put a pic of the dress here 2morrow if i have time :)

Changing hair colour

I got pretty bored of my hair colour, especially the outghrowing part.
Its like pretty light at the roots and the lengths were still darker.
The colour i used last time gradually washed out even it was supposed to be permanent.

I kinda would like to get my natural colour back but to let the other colour grow out would take a long time as my hair is pretty long.
Now i changed my colour the last time in january and i loved that colour. It was darker than my original colour and made me look different.

The colour i used this time is pretty much the same i used the last time.
But i used the hair dye from another brand. they had the offer to buy 2 for the price of one so i decided to try this brand.
i was about to dye my hair very blonde but my husband didnt like the idea so i went back to a darker tone.
Thats the one i used Palette 5-60 Light chocolate brown
Im pretty satisfied with it as it gave me the tone i wanted and didnt mess up my hair.
2 packages for 36Le (6$) wasnt to expensive either, though i have no idea how much id pay if i get my hair done in a studio. The last i didn that was in germany and i paid 87 $.
I dont go to any studio here in egypt as i dont trust them that much and my hair is pretty precious for me..

Anyhow my husband told me to dye my hair black. Something i would like to do but i wont do cause its haram.
It seems many people dont know that its haram to dye ur hair black (in islam)

Here are the haith for it:

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said:

“There will be people who will come later (in my Ummah) and apply black dye. They will not even smell the fragrance of paradise.” (Sunan Abu Dawud, 2/578)

In another Hadith the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “…Abstain from using black dye.” (Sahih Muslim)

So no black hair dye for me. but i guess black would make me anyway look pretty sick with my extremly white skin..

This is one of my fav outfits at the moment. Especially the flat shoes are pretty comfortable, to a point that i dsont wanna wear heels anymore. At least for some time ;)

Aura Dion - Geronimo

Yeah I know the title doesn’t fit.. anyways
It’s the song I listen right now

I love it and listen to it the whole night. This song is on repeat in my apartment during the whole night ( trying to ignore the other ppl arguing in the next room..)

It keeps my mood up when everything around me ís just going wrong and i wanna run away..
It sounds happy, doesnt it?

These days the electricity here cuts way to often. Always shortly after the Maghreb Adhan.

So when u finally get your energy back u cant do anything as its totally dark!
The water cut too in the evening, so no water to drink, not water 2 wash,..
Dear Egyptian government consider using ur resources for ur people and not selling it to the enemy
I know bitching about it wont make it better, but well being quiet about it just encourages the government to go on with their games.. I guess
My father in law was genuinely shocked when I told him the electricity never cuts in Germany, same goes for water by the way.
I remember that when I was a kid a was hoping for the electricity to cut to have something interesting happening :D
But it never did anyway..

I guess i get what i wanted now..just a little late :)
Nevermind, it could be romantic..if..well it could, but it isnt, at least not in my apartment..anyways

Btw its 3.20 am here in Masr, which means only a few minutes til we start to fast again for the rest of the day.
My lil boy (2) is still wide awake.. *sigh*
I pray that ill get some sleep soon...

Being a mom

Its fajr time once again..
I made many attempts to sleep as i cant work anyway, but obviously it didnt work
My body got used to sleep after fajr and not before.
So i guess 2morrow my sunshine will wake me early and once again i will walk around like a zombie praying that i will be "Nap Time" already!

Yes i  impatiently wait for my son to get tired enough to take his daily Nap.
Its the time i can sleep too and relax.
The rest of the day iam working, cooking, cleaning, washing and serving the baby
My little prince is quite demanding and always orders me to get up, if he wants me to give him something..

So the best way to have some time to work inpeace is to give him a bucket of water and a cup..
It keeps him busy and happy, and it gives me the needed time to do my freelance work

In the last 3days i managed to translate over 11 000 wordsfrom german to english.
Which is pretty good considering that most translators do this in 1 week.
I simply wanna finish this project to get a better paid one..

Being a mom isnt really easy, but it s still great :)

I just wish i will beable to catch some sleep now before the babydecides to get up again..inshallah

Iftar in egypt

I was opting for Pizza for iftar today.
But well, didnt had time to go to the shop to get the ingredients so this is what i came up with

Salata, Mexican Rice, Tomato Soup and bread filled with Potatoe mash

It is missing veggys, but for that we will have fruits and veggys through out the night and for suhoor inshallah

Mosques of Cairo

While listening to the the Fjar Adhaan i thought i will share some pictures with you that i made yesterday.
I took the Chance to make them while driving to Maadi where we had Iftar with my mother in law.

There are so many different designsfor Mosques here in Egypt. Most Mosques have a really amazing architecture. My favourite Mosque til now is the Mohamed Ali Mosque whichu can see on the last 2 pictures.
Its surrounded by a Fort and close to the well known Azhar Park.

Fajr time in Cairo

It is Time for Suhoor here in cairo and only a few minutes are left til the Adhaan will chime through the streets and remind the Believers that from now on we have to fast untill the Sung goes down again.

Since iam alone for Suhoor today i only ate some bread with cream cheese and zatar. Normally we eat Fouhl which are cooked beans. because of their high protein contentthey are supposed to keep hunger at bay for a longer time that foods like bread or even veggys.

Im drinking water as usually as i reserve my coffee for iftar.
I also drink some mango milkshake ( recipe canbe found here Mango Milkshake and Mask)
Im in love with mangos and its the season for them right now so i eat as much of them as possible, hoping it wont destroy my weight plan.

The fasting this year is long and the days are very hot, but i still dont feel that the fasting is harder than in the other years. The reason is probably my beloved AC. If it gets too hot for me i hide in the bedroom and turn the AC on and all is well.
Iam not hungry for most of the day but iam thirsty a lot.
But it is a great reminder of the poor. Some days ago i read about this sheikh in saudia who answered questions from muslims from all over the world by phone.
A muslim called him and asked if his fasting will be accepted if he has nothing to eat before the fast and nothing to break the fast. The sheikh cried after this call and it made me cry too.
Why should i complain if i have food to break my fast and i live like a princess in a room with AC?
I mean not even the prophet (s.a.w.) had something to cool his house in hot days like these. So iam very lucky!

There might be many ppl that have more money and wealth than me, but for them there are thousands that have way less than me. People who fight for thier Lifes in Syria, Palestine and Burma and people who donthave enough to eat to keep their children alive in South Africa and many other places.

Some of my european family members really do complain because theri friends have more money than them. But they have huge Houses, a few cars, travel for holidays twice a year,...
i can not really blame them though.
I know how it is to live like this, you just see people who have more and you dont get in contact with poor people so you simply forget how blessed you are.
There should be way more awareness for this subject in europ and america.

Anayway i got carried away enough..

The Adhaan called and from now on ill be fasting until sunset!
May Allah accept my fast and the fast of every true muslim and reward us with jannah, inshallah!

Wishing all of u a great weekend or jummah mubarek :)

Ramadan - what´s it all about

Ramadan - what’s it all about

Everyone who has a Muslim friend, colleague or neighbor has noticed that the behavior of them has changed quite a bit for the last few days. Some might already know that it’s the month of Ramadan and that Muslims fast during the whole month.

But why do they fast anyway and what are they allowed to eat during the month of Ramadan? Do I have to act different to my Muslim friends and can I still Invite my Muslim colleagues to dinner?

This is a little explanation to give you a better understanding of what Ramadan is about.

How long does it lasts?

The Islamic month of Ramadan occurs annually and happens every year about 11 days earlier than the year before. that’s why this year Ramadan happens during July, which is the hottest month in many Muslim countries. A few years ago it happened in December which of courses makes it easier for Muslims to fast as the days were shorter and the temperatures were much lower.

Ramadan starts at the sight of the New Moon and end at the sight of the next New Moon. So it lasts one month, or about 29-30 days.

Narrated Ibn Umar: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “When you see the crescent (of the month of Ramadan), start fasting, and when you see the crescent (of the month of Shawwal), stop fasting; and if the sky is overcast (and you can’t see It) then regard the crescent (month) of Ramadan (as of 30 days)”.

What are Muslims doing during the month of Ramadan?

Ramadan is the most important month of the Muslim calendar.

In this holy month Muslims are granted forgiveness of Allah and if they repent for their past sins, all of them will be forgiven.

For this, all Muslims that have reached puberty have to fast from dusk to dawn.

After sunset they are allowed to drink and eat anything they like. The feeling of hunger and thirst which the Believers experience during the hours of fasting should remind them of the poor who feel like this every day. It should encourage the Muslim community to give more charity and to feed the poor.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”

However fasting isn’t only about leaving food and drinks for the day. You have to keep yourself away from anything that is considered forbidden (haram) such as swear words, smoking and back biting. There are opinions that it is haram to listen to music and therefore this could be on the list too, but opinions about this topic differ so I won’t say it’s forbidden or allowed. But it is good to reduce the time that you listen to music and increase time where you listen to Quran and Islamic songs.

For couples it is also forbidden to have sexual relations during the day.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)”

Muslims offer 5 prayers daily through out the whole year but during Ramadan it is recommended to increase the prayers. Tarawih is a prayer that is offered at night. It is only offered in Ramadan and many Muslims spend most of their night in Ramadan with praying and reading Quran.

Are there any exceptions?

People who has illnesses that prevent them from fasting don’t need to fast and the same goes for pregnant and breastfeeding woman. A pregnant woman can fast if it is safe for the unborn child and her, but she is not obligated to fast. If any Muslim misses some days of fasting for any reason they have to make up those days at a later time, If this is not possible than it is permissible to feed one poor person for each day that they have missed.

A reason to miss a day of fasting can also be a travel. If a Muslim has to travel he can choose, not to fast on that day and to make it up later. This does only apply for the time of the travel and if they stay less than 3 days at their destination. If they travel to a place and stay there for more than 3 days than they can only skip the fasting during the travel and have to continue fasting after that.

So why do they fast anyway?

The main reason why Muslims fast is simply because Allah ( God) has ordered them to do so.

Ramadan should show the Believers how hunger and thirst feels like so they will show mercy towards the poor and give more charity.

It is also a chance for the Muslims to have their sins forgiven if the repent sincerely and fast, than Allah will forgive their past sins.

Ramadan shouldn’t be an event where the Muslim changes for one month and than goes back to normal after it. Muslims are encouraged to keep the good habits that they started through out the year, so that eventually after every Ramadan the Muslim will be a better person than the year before.

Evidence from the Qur'an : "O you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for the people before you in order for you to gain God consciousness, and, "...The month of Ramadan, during which the Qur'an was revealed, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance and the criterion; and whoever of you is resident, let him fast the month" [al-Baqarah 185].

After Ramadan, Muslims celebrate the main festival of Islam which is called Eid - ul - Fitr. It lasts for 3 days. And it is a tradition for Muslims to get a new set of clothes which they can wear for this event. Families are meeting for Eid to eat together and to wish each other “Eid Mubarek”

Hadith

Some more Hadith about the Ramadan, for a better understanding.

Hadith are words of the most important prophet of Islam Mohamed (peace be upon him).

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.”

Narrated A’isha, Ummul Mu’minin: The Sunnah for one who is observing i’tikaf (in a mosque) is not to visit a patient, or to attend a funeral, or touch or embrace one’s wife, or go out for anything but necessary purposes. There is no i’tikaf without fasting, and there is no i’tikaf except in a congregational mosque.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, ‘I am fasting.” The Prophet added, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), ‘He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times.”

Ramadan Kareem

I wish you all a tranquil and productive Ramadan  :)

Sadly i dont have as much time as i want to ppray and read Quran as i have a few articles to finish.

Its easy to finish articles that are up to 500 words than the 900 - 1000 word articles thatiam writing right now.
They are travel related and about places in... India!
While i do love india with its magnificient colours and rich culture it still isnt easy to write about citys or Areas about which you can hardly findany informations on the Net.

I cant wait to finish this job to have more timefor religious acts :)

Working online

Since i decided to start taking article writing and translating more serious it works pretty well for me.

I am doing this for quite a while but i didnt have the time to concentrate on it like i do now :)

Iam not completly happy with the choices of topics that my contractors send me but i guess as a Newbie in working onlie i have to take it untill i have a reputation.

Id love to write travel artivles and health related articles.

But right now i mostly write about boring topics such as Dietician vs. Nutritionist.
Really not a topic i enjoy!
But well i get payd for it and i hope to get good feedback for it.

I am working hard to deliver articles as fast as possible to get a reputation to deliver work accurate and on time. I´m sure this will pay off sooner or later as i can see many people who work online dont take ot serious and wether just copy and paste contents or dont meet deadlines.

If you are interested to work online i can recommend odesk
My first job here didnt went well but overall its a good site and offers good jobs with a fair payment.
I also really wanna write a book.
I have a few ideas for storylines but i´m not sure which one would sell the best.
And books need to have at least 25,000 Words which is a lot as u will  know if u ever tryd to write that much :D

Well am on it as i started to write down one of my storys.
I might post some of the storyline in this Blog but only after i completed some more of the writing ;)

Anyone else here who´s a writer and wants to write/publish a book?

Circumcision forbidden in germany

Religious circumcisions are now illegal in Germany

The District Court of Cologne has decided: Religious Circumcision is considered assault.

Germany is since July 2012 the only country in the world that forbids religious circumcision. A fact that outrages the Muslims and Jews that are living in Germany.

Judaism and the Islam both require their members to get their boys circumcised to become whole members of their communities.

In both religions boys should be circumcised in young age, before they are able to decide themselves if they want it.

From a legal perspective, the process is at first, like any other medical intervention and mayhem. If a procedure is considered medically necessary, the circumcision will have no legal consequences.

It is a fact that in Islam, the health of the human - physical and emotional - is a high good, if not one of the highest goods. Muslims know that circumcising their sons has many health benefits. Not much different is the case in Judaism.

The Jewish hospital in Berlin used to perform 300 circumcisions per year. 2/3 of them on Jewish and Muslim boys for religious reasons.

Doctors scare that now that religious circumcisions are illegal, they will be performed under unhygienic circumstances, as Jews and Muslims, certainly will not give up one of their most important traditions.

Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt
: “With this law there is no future for the Jews in Germany !"

The Cologne judgment about circumcision is considered by the Conference of European Rabbis “as the heaviest attack on Jewish life since the Holocaust“. The President of the Federation, the Moscow Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt said on Thursday in Berlin "If the law will last, I see no future for Jews in Germany." He assumes however, that the circumcision of boys for religious reasons, is enshrined in law in the Federal Republic.

Circumcision in infancy helps to reduce the risk of febrile urinary tract infections and inflammations of the penis. In adults, it reduces the risk of being affected by prostate cancer.

This proves Jews and Muslims right as they prevent this right from the beginning instead of waiting for the child to become sick and than getting, him circumcised.

Worldwide every third male Human is circumcised whether for religious reasons or simply for hygienic reasons.

Boycott Israel

I´m a muslim but that´s not the reason i boycott Israel!

Even if i was christian or a jew, i would never support the things Israel does to the palestinian citizens!

Palestinians used to live in Pelstine in Peace, before it´s been decided that their Homes should belong to israel. So how would u like it if someone comes to your country/city and tells you " please leave now, this place and everything in it belongs to us now and we dont want you here. If you dont go we will torture you, rape your wive/sisters/mother, and kill your children without mercy"?

Whatever your religion, please support this case and Boycott Israel.
Be a Human and help the Palestinians to end this nightmare.

I know its hard to stay away from all those products that support israel.
So do it step by step.
Remove these products from your daily life, one by one!

The Dentist

I finally went to the Dentist last night.

I will have to get fillings in 2 Teeth - No surprise there!

What really surprise me was that it actually didn’t hurt. I have been scared to go to the Dentist because i thought i would be in huge pain. My biggest Fear was having injections.

Well i can tell you though I’m scared of injections, it really didn’t hurt and i didn’t even feel the injection.

I just closed my eyes and waited for the pain and it didn’t come :)

After that the Dentist just cleaned the teeth which wasn’t painful but not that enjoyable too. To be honest I was shaking from nervousness.

Before this I have been in pain for about 2 weeks.

In the beginning it wasn’t such a problem and I could relieve the pain with Panadol once a day.

After some days though that wouldn’t work anymore until one night I fund myself crying from pain.

At that moment I took cataflam, antibiotics and a strong painkiller (I don’t remember the name). t worked after some time but since than I took every day cataflam (an anti flammatory ) and Antibiotics (called Curam) . It did keep the pain away but well didn’t heal the problem.

Now I don’t have any pain after getting a temporary filling in my teeth. It doesn’t feel normal though and it leaves a strange taste in the mouth at all times. But hey at least I have no pain anymore J

I was supposed to get the final filling on Thursday but since I am invited to an engagement party I will have to wait till Saturday to get it done.

Once I get this teeth done I will have to get the other one done :S

The dentist office was really, really clean (normally Egyptian doctors don’t seem to care for cleanness!) and well equipped.

I can really recommend this clinic for anyone living in Cairo/Egypt.

I heard already a lot of horror stories about Dentists here in Cairo.

My sister in law for example had some kind of surgery after an infection in a tooth and after that she had 2 days unbearable pain. You shouldn’t be in pain after this, the Dentist has to give you the right prescription for painkiller or otherwise he probably made a mistake causing the pain..

If you are interested to contact the Dentist i have been to just let me know in a comment.
The Dentist is located in El Obour City/1st Zone /
in  Cairo

Losing weight in Ramadan

How to lose weight in Ramadan

I know what your first thought was while reading the headline, it probably was something like “ Ramadan is meant for spiritual worship, not a tool to lose weight!”.

And you are right, but why not use this holy month to improve your Imaan and also your health?

I will try to help you with this task and make it a little easier for you to lose weight this Ramadan and not gain weight or keep your weight, like you probably did the last few years.

First you need to analyze the reason why you haven’t lost weight the past Ramadan´s.

There are several possible reasons for weight gain in Ramadan, so let’s take them one by one.

1. Delightful Deserts

Traditional Ramadan is the time where mothers, grandmothers and Aunts will spend most of their time in the kitchen to create tasty foods and deserts that we don’t eat very often around the year. It isn’t the purpose of Ramadan to eat special dishes and to indulge in Food but that doesn’t mean you have to completely stay away from these tasty little temptations.

Give yourself a break once a week and eat the desert you like the best (I’d advise you to do that on a Friday as it’s the holiday for Muslim’s so let’s make it special) and stay away from Deserts the other days of the week.

2. Eating only once a day

Another reason for weight gain is if you only eat 1 big Meal while fasting.

Hard to believe, right? Well it is true and I’ll tell you how that works.

If you fast all day your body goes into starvation mood. So if after fasting you eat a huge Iftar and than nothing else for the rest of the night, your body will believe there is a serious crisis going on.

Your Body will store all the Food it gets and turn it into Fat, thinking you might not get Food again very soon.

So the Solution to this is pretty simple. Eat frequently during the Night.

I will give you an example of how you could keep your Diet Plan during the night.

-After the Adhaan (Prayer Call) eat 1- 3 Dates (It’s Sunnah to eat 3 Dates) and drink at least 1 Glass of Water. You can drink some Juice too if you want but still don’t leave out the water, it’s very important for hydration!

- After praying Maghrib you can eat your actual Iftar which ideally should include weather salad or a vegetable dish and soup. Try not to eat fatty dishes or anything including white Fluor.

- You should remember to drink plenty of water during the night and also during praying Taraweeh (Night Prayers in Ramadan).

- After Taraweeh u can eat a little Snack like fresh fruit salad ( use honey with it instead of sugar), Some Nuts or tasty Milkshakes. The Milkshake should be home made with fresh fruits, low fat Milk and less sugar/honey.

-For Suhoor I would suggest u anything that has a lot of Protein, as it will not let you get hungry as fast as a carbohydrate rich dish.

Ideal for Suhoor are Eggs, Fouhl or Yogurt.

The eggs can be turned into Omelette with a lot of healthy vegetables. This is a great dish to serve the whole family without making a huge effort (so you will have more time for worship).

Traditionally a lot of people eat Fouhl (cooked Beans) with Arabic bread for Suhoor. If you want to eat this, try to eat more Fouhl and less bread. Also try to get whole grain bread to eat it with the Fouhl .

3. Unhealthy Drinks

This might not be a problem specific for Ramadan but I will still address it as it’s a big step back for a healthy Life!

Soda drinks are the enemy of any healthy Diet. They contain a lot of sugar and a lot of other ingredients that harm your health.

Did you ever put a piece of meat into a bowl of Pepsi and watch what happens after about 2 days? It will nearly completely disappear. Do you really want to still drink something like this?

Fruit juices are healthy - but only in moderation, which means about 1- 2 glasses a day. And only if you choose juices without added sugar. Most juices you can buy at the store contain a lot of sugar and water and less actual juice.

So ´do something good for your health and buy a high quality juice.

Drink plenty of water! About 1.5 - 3 litre per day ( or in Ramadan per night)

If you are used to drink a lot of Coffee and tea, try to reduce your consume before Ramadan. if you suddenly give them up in Ramadan you can experience head ache from the withdrawal of Caffeine.

If you wish to drink Tea or Coffee in Ramadan limit yourself to 2 cups with less sugar.

4. Sudden drop of Exercise

It is really hard to do your regular training in Ramadan and sometimes it’s even impossible.

My advice on exercise in Ramadan would be to do it right before Maghreb, so you can drink water after it.

Don’t overdo it, 30-45 min of exercise 2-4 times a week is more than enough in Ramadan. The Taraweeh prayer will probably do the rest for your exercise routine.

At last I want to remember you that Ramadan is meant as a reminder of the Poor and Needy.

We are supposed to feel some of their hardships ourselves to sympathize with them and to remember them even long after Ramadan is gone.

It’s not time to indulge in food and find excuses to eat more than ever just because you haven’t eaten the whole day.

So remember yourself of this and improve your health and Imaan in Ramadan and keep it up all Year.
